Partial third-party build
=========================
If you need to build a single component in ThirdParty, maybe because it has failed
and want to investigate the reason, remember to load the environment.sh script first,
then run the proper makefile.
$ source environment.sh
$ cd parts/zimbra-sources/ThirdParty/mysql/
$ make
Unfortunately, the scripts provide no generic way to interrupt and restart
a third party build without rebuilding everything. So, after fixing the problem,
you will have to rebuild all of the components.

The only solution that we found
that works with IPv4/IP
v6, with all versions of Java and allows
LD_PRELOAD/LD_LIBRARY_PATH usage is the authbind package.
Versions 1.x only work with IPv4, therefore we backported 2.1.1 to Ubuntu 12.04 and provided
it together with the buildout.cfg
With authbind, if the application /path/to/binary needs the privilege to bind low ports,
it must be called as
$ authbind /path/to/binary [...options...]
or (as seen in bin/zmmailboxdctl) as
$ authbind --deep /path/to/binary [...options...]
The latter form is required to grant the privilege to future subprocesses as well.
Other context-specific changes
------------------------------
In the script buildThirdParty.sh, explicit checks for the presence of required libraries
have been removed.
Other changes not described in the previous section:
- clamav:
Explicitly provide bzip2 from slapos.
- cyrus-sasl
The build of this component is bugged, as it will favor the use of libtool
provided in /usr/bin over the one provided by Zimbra.
Our changes fix this, and also explicitly reference the aclocal file with --system-acdir
in ThirdParty/cyrus-sasl/zimbra-cyrus-sasl-build.sh
For the same reason, the Thirdparty/Makefile build order
has been changed to build libtool before cyrus-sasl.
- mysql
Compile mysql with the embedded yaSSL library, instead of openssl.
Also, explicitly provide ncurses from slapos.
- nginx / postfix:
Explicitly provide libpcre from slapos.
- perl
SlapOS Perl: Build with -fPIC to allow linking with OpenLDAP Perl backend.
Zimbra perl:
Install the Devel::Trace module to help debug.
Use the public cpan.yahoo.com mirror by default instead of the
inaccessible, privat one at zre-matrix.eng.vmware.com
Changed /usr/bin/perl shebangs, to /usr/bin/env or to $PERL_BINARY with a regexp.
