Main hardware parts of the (Armada 370 based) NETGEAR ReadyNAS 104 are supported by mainline kernel (USB 3.0 rear ports, USB 2.0 front port, Gigabit controller and PHYs, serial port, LEDs, buttons, SATA ports, G762 fan controller) and referenced in provided .dts file. Some additonal work remains for: - Intersil ISL12057 I2C RTC and Alarm chip: working driver but needs to be splitted for submission of RTC part first; - Front LCD (Winstar 1602G): driver needs to be written - Armada NAND controller (to access onboard 128MB of NAND): support being pushed by @free-electrons people - 4 front SATA LEDs controlled via GPIO brought by NXP PCA9554: driver is available upstream. Not referenced/tested yet. but the device is usable w/o those. The OpenBlocks A7 board is designed and sold by PlatHome, and based on a Kirkwood 6283 Marvell SoC. It is quite similar to the OpenBlocks A6 already supported in the kernel, with the following main differences: - The A6 uses a RTC on I2C, while the A7 uses the internal SoC RTC. - The A6 has one Ethernet port, while the A7 has two Ethernet ports - The A6 has only one USB port, while the A7 integrates a USB hub, which provides two front-side USB port, and an internal USB port as well. - The A6 has 512 MB of RAM, while the A7 has 1 GB of RAM. - Slightly different GPIOs for some functions. As defined in the DT, clkout2 is not allowed to change the pll inside si5351. This patch extends the properties of clkout2 so that it works as the external clock of the audio device in the Cubox. Also, as the second si5351 clock is not used in the Cubox, its definition is removed. kirkwood_setup_wins is the last manual caller of mbus in kirkwood, don't call it for DT boards and rely on the DT having a mbus node with a proper ranges property to setup these windows. Move all the mbus ranges properties for all boards into kirkwood.dtsi, since they are currently all the same. This makes the DT self consistent, since the physical address of the NAND and CRYPTO are both referenced internally. The arbitary Linux constants KIRKWOOD_NAND_MEM_PHYS_BASE and KIRKWOOD_SRAM_PHYS_BASE no longer have to match the DT values. The mv64xxx-i2c embedded in the Armada XP have a new feature to offload i2c transaction. This new version of the IP come also with some errata. This lead to the introduction to a another compatible string. This commit split the i2c information into armada-370.dtsi and armada-xp.dtsi. Most of the data remains the same and stay in the common file Armada-370-xp.dtsi. With this new feature the size of the registers are bigger for Armada XP and the new compatible string is used. Matt found that commit 27a7c642 ("partitions/efi: account for pmbr size in lba") caused his GPT formatted eMMC device not to boot. The reason is that this commit enforced Linux to always check the lesser of the whole disk or 2Tib for the pMBR size in LBA. While most disk partitioning tools out there create a pMBR with these characteristics, Microsoft does not, as it always sets the entry to the maximum 32-bit limitation - even though a drive may be smaller than that[1]. Loosen this check and only verify that the size is either the whole disk or 0xFFFFFFFF. No tool in its right mind would set it to any value other than these. The LRU list changes interacted badly with our nr_dentry_unused accounting, and even worse with the new DCACHE_LRU_LIST bit logic. This introduces helper functions to make sure everything follows the proper dcache d_lru list rules: the dentry cache is complicated by the fact that some of the hotpaths don't even want to look at the LRU list at all, and the fact that we use the same list entry in the dentry for both the LRU list and for our temporary shrinking lists when removing things from the LRU. The helper functions temporarily have some extra sanity checking for the flag bits that have to match the current LRU state of the dentry. We'll remove that before the final 3.12 release, but considering how easy it is to get wrong, this first cleanup version has some very particular sanity checking. When reading a single page with cifs_readpage(), we make a call to fscache_read_or_alloc_page() which once done, asynchronously calls the completion function cifs_readpage_from_fscache_complete(). This completion function unlocks the page once it has been populated from cache. The module then attempts to unlock the page a second time in cifs_readpage() which leads to warning messages. In case of a successful call to fscache_read_or_alloc_page() we should skip the second unlock_page() since this will be called by the cifs_readpage_from_fscache_complete() once the page has been populated by fscache. With the modifications to cifs_readpage_worker(), we will need to re-grab the page lock in cifs_write_begin(). The problem was first noticed when testing new fscache patches for cifs. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1005737Signed-off-by: Sachin Prabhu <sprabhu@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Jeff Layton <jlayton@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Steve French <smfrench@gmail.com>
