This patch allows software acquires and releases NVM resource for
writing each EEPROM page, instead of holding semaphore for the whole
data block which is too long and could trigger write fails on
unpredictable addresses.

The i211's one-time programmable (invm) version field is different than the
other fields contained in it.  This patch adds a function to get the invm version
of it and store it for output from ethtool.

There are multiple places in our device nvm where the version is stored.
This update fixes some output errors with some types of images and
refactors the way the version data is gathered and stored for ethtool output.

after review of all intel drivers, found several instances where
drivers had the incorrect pattern of:
memory mapped write();
delay();

which should always be:
memory mapped write();
write flush(); /* aka memory mapped read */
delay();

explanation:
The reason for including the flush is that writes can be held
(posted) in PCI/PCIe bridges, but the read always has to complete
synchronously and therefore has to flush all pending writes to a
device.  If a write is held and followed by a delay, the delay
means nothing because the write may not have reached hardware
(maybe even not until the next read)

New adapters will have part numbers stored in string format rather than
simple hex format. This function will read part number formats in either
hex or string.

We are pleased to announce a new Gigabit Ethernet product and its
driver to the linux community. This product is the Intel(R) 82575
Gigabit Ethernet adapter family. Physical adapters will be available
to the public soon. These adapters come in 2- and 4-port versions
(copper PHY) currently. Other variants will be available later.

The 82575 chipset supports significantly different features that
warrant a new driver. The descriptor format is (just like the
ixgbe driver) different. The device can use multiple MSI-X vectors
and multiple queues for both send and receive. This allows us to
optimize some of the driver code specifically as well compared to
the e1000-supported devices.

This version of the igb driver no lnger uses fake netdevices and
incorporates napi_struct members for each ring to do the multi-
queue polling. multi-queue is enabled by default and the driver
supports NAPI mode only.

All the namespace collisions should be gone in this version too. The
register macro's have been condensed to improve readability.
