The bcm2835_timer_init() function emits an error message in case of a memory
allocation failure. This is pointless as the mm core does that already.

Remove this message.

This issue was detected by using the Coccinelle software.

Add documentation for new separate CMT0 and CMT1 DT compatible strings
for R-Car Gen2. These compat strings allow us to enable CMT1-specific
features in the driver. The old compat strings will be deprecated in
the not so distant future.

IMX Timer/PWM Module (TPM) supports both timer and pwm function while
this patch only adds the timer support. PWM would be added later.

The TPM counter, compare and capture registers are clocked by an
asynchronous clock that can remain enabled in low power modes.

NOTE: We observed in a very small probability, the bus fabric
contention between GPU and A7 may results a few cycles delay
of writing CNT registers which may cause the min_delta event got
missed, so we need add a ETIME check here in case it happened.

Currently the alarmtimer registers a wake-up source unconditionally,
regardless of the system having a (wake-up capable) RTC or not.
Hence the alarmtimer will always show up in
/sys/kernel/debug/wakeup_sources, even if it is not available, and thus
cannot be a wake-up source.

To fix this, postpone registration until a wake-up capable RTC device is
added.

When CONFIG_DEBUG_TIMEKEEPING is enabled the timekeeping_check_update()
function will update status like last_warning and underflow_seen on the
timekeeper.

If there are issues found this state is used to rate limit the warnings
that get printed.

This rate limiting doesn't really really work if stored in real_tk as
the shadow timekeeper is overwritten onto real_tk at the end of every
update_wall_time() call, resetting last_warning and other statuses.

Fix rate limiting by using the shadow_timekeeper for
timekeeping_check_update().

These testcases are motivated by a recent alarmtimer regression, which
caused one-shot CLOCK_{BOOTTIME,REALTIME}_ALARM timers to become
periodic timers.

The new testcases are very similar to the existing testcases for
repeating timers.  But rather than waiting for 5 alarms, they wait for 5
seconds and verify that the alarm fired exactly once.

Rather than printing an error inside the alarm signal handler, set a
flag that we check later.  This keeps the test from spamming the console
every time the alarm fires early.  It also fixes the test exiting with
error code 0 if this was the only test failure.

The blocklayout code does not compile cleanly for a 32-bit sector_t,
and also has no reliable checks for devices sizes, which makes it
unsafe to use with a kernel that doesn't support large block devices.

 "All fixes for code that went in this cycle.

   - a revert of an optimisation to the syscall exit path, which could
     lead to an oops on either older machines or machines with > 1TB of
     memory

   - disable some deep idle states if the firmware configuration for
     them fails

   - re-enable HARD/SOFT lockup detectors in defconfigs after a Kconfig
     change

   - six fairly small patches fixing bugs in our new watchdog code

Commit c54451a5 "iommu/arm-smmu: Fix the error path in arm_smmu_add_device"
removed fwspec assignment in legacy_binding path as redundant which is
wrong. It needs to be updated after fwspec initialisation in
arm_smmu_register_legacy_master() as it is dereferenced later. Without
this there is a NULL-pointer dereference panic during boot on some hosts.

Here is a device has xen-pirq-MSI interrupt. Dom0 might lost interrupt
during driver irq_disable/irq_enable. Here is the scenario,
 1. irq_disable -> disable_dynirq -> mask_evtchn(irq channel)
 2. dev interrupt raised by HW and Xen mark its evtchn as pending
 3. irq_enable -> startup_pirq -> eoi_pirq ->
    clear_evtchn(channel of irq) -> clear pending status
 4. consume_one_event process the irq event without pending bit assert
    which result in interrupt lost once
 5. No HW interrupt raising anymore.

Now use enable_dynirq for enable_pirq of xen_pirq_chip to remove
eoi_pirq when irq_enable.
